Just be prepared to be tired all the time!
I have been a Mom for three days now... Getting kiddos up, fed, lunches made, and off to school. Doing dishes and laundry and cleaning house. Destroying a room only to remodel it- hopefully before I leave. Bringing stuff to and from the hospital for my sister and Momma. It is exhausting! Up everyday by 7am and passed out before eleven... and I usually stay up all night for goodness sakes! Insane!
Well things have been a rollercoaster here with Sarah in the hospital. She has to have exploratory surgery on Tuesday night because they couldn't figure out with any tests, why she was plowing downhill so fast. 4 hours later they found out the in her original surgery, her bladder was knicked and she had been urinating into her abdominal cavity for like 30 hours. Sounds fun, huh?
So now she is at Wellington Regional- worst place EVER! Seriously- I know where I DO NOT want to work when i move down here. Now just gotta pick fromthe other two hospitals... Anyhow- to get back on topic... The nurses keep her in pain. She is supposed to get round-the-clock pain meds and they never bring them on time or even close to being on time. So she is screaming-which makes the pain worse- and by the time she gets her meds they don't even help becaue her pain is so severe. I've had to speak some words to some of the people that work here cause this is bullshit. The nurse told my Mom last night when she walked to the desk- "Everytime I turn around you're here." WTF? Seriously! You are NOT supposed to speak to people like that! She should be F-I-R-E-D! Seriously.
But today- I talked to the charge nurse and we told her all about everything that has been going on and she has been more than helpful. Well, atleast thus far. Hopefully things are smooth from here on out.
But Sarah did get up and walk down the hall today! WOOOOT! Good stuff! She says that she is not feeling any better, but she looks like she is. Just in a lot of pain. She now has a vertical incision from 2" above her bellybutton till her pubic bone- With staples. Looks painful. She saw it for the first time yesterday (she didn't know that she had been cut) and was pretty upset about it. I felt so bad for her...
But hopefully things get better and she gets outta here soon. She is going to have to wear a catheter for like 5 weeks because of the knick... which is sucky- but she should be fine. thanksgoodness! So I just wanna say thanks to all who have kept her in their thoughts... It really means a lot to me...
Gotta go- she is cramping and I gotta play nurse....

My Mom is coming to visit me the first weekend in July- plane ticket already bought! WOOT...

We are going to see Idol's live on July 7th at 7pm! So this makes concert #4!

Also- DMB too look foreward too... courtesy of my best friend Kelly... and then John Mayer... WOOT!
Have we decided if we are going to see Tim and Faith yet? It's July 25th... Tickets are 50.00- 100.00....

So it's good that my boy is doing better- cept now he has to have yet another open heart surgery because his aorta is too big and his carotid artery is too narrow...

Some of you may know that my 9 yr old cousin, Dylan had a stroke last Tuesday. It was pretty scary. He has been at All children's Hospital for the past week and he is getting better and better everyday.
This morning I went to see him after work. He cuddled up to me and kept telling me that he loved me and he did not want me to leave him ever. And that, on top of the fact that he can move his left arm and is starting to use the left side of his face, is the BEST Valentine's Gift that I have EVER recieved!
I love that kid. He is my baby.
Now off for a lil bit of a date. :D
